Mrs. Henry Flesner Buried Tuesday

Mrs. Henry Flesner, 80, passed away Friday at her home in Aplington of complications of age. She was born May 20, 1874, in Germany, daughter of Harm and Fannie Emkes. She was married to Henry Flesner, May 24, 1901 and the couple farmed in the Buck Grove community until their retirement to Aplington in 1925. She leaves one son, Harm, Aplington; four daughters, Mrs. Gesina Tjaden, Clarksville; Mrs. Rena DeBoer, Aplington; Mrs. Fannie Lindeman, Waterloo; Mrs. Henrietta Nevenhoven, Aplington; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George H. Johnson, Parkersburg; preceded by husband, her parents, two brothers, two sisters and two grandsons. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Aplington Reformed church with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery at Wellsburg.
