Ruby Lucille Lau, 86, of Urbandale Health Care Center, 4614 N.W. 84th St., died of a heart attack there Sunday. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Burial will be at Washington Township Cemetery in Morrison.

Mrs. Lau, a homemaker, was born in Maryville, Tenn., and lived in Reinbeck, Atlantic, Illinois and Kansas before moving to Des Moines in 1958.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Nichols of Omaha, Sharyn Doll of Minneapolis and Patty Lau of Des Moines; a son, Larry of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Word was received here Monday of the death of Ruby Lau at Des Moines. Funeral services Wednesday in the French-Hand Funeral Home at Reinbeck and burial in the Washington Township Cemetery at Morrison. She was the sister of the late Gladys Bakker and an aunt of Bernita Newell.
