Chas. Stock, 56, Died August 1

Services were held for Charles E. Stock, 56, at the Hage Funeral Home in Charles City on Saturday, August 5. A resident of Charles City, he died Tuesday afternoon, August 1st, at the Floyd County Hospital.

Mr. Stock was born on January 14, 1922, in Morrison, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Stock. He graduated from Reinbeck high school and Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Mo. During World War II he served in the Army Signal Corps and was stationed in the China-Burma-India Theatre.

Surviving are his wife, Norma, and his son, Tom, a student at Kirksville, Mo. Other survivors include three sisters: Mrs. C. J. Lear of Lodi, Calif., Mrs. Fred Scovel of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mrs. Iris Norwood of Niland, Calif.; three brothers, Henry of Grundy Center, Merle of Widener, Ark. and Walter of Morrison.

Mr. Stock was buried in the Washington Township Cemetery in Morrison.
