Louis Kaiser Dies Sunday At Holland

Funeral services for Louis Kaiser, 84, of Holland were held at 1:30 p.m. this Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church northeast of Wellsburg, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kaiser died Sunday afternoon at his home in Holland.

Rev. Donald Brown officiated the service. Pall bearers were Julius Heikens, Herman Groote, Herman Harrenstein, Henry Ascher Jr., August Ascher and E. B. Finke.

Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home of Grundy Center was in charge of arrangements.

Louis Kaiser was born in Germany on November 7, 1884, the son of John and Vera Goldstein Kaiser.

He came to Grundy county with his parents in 1890. He was married to Bertha Olthoff on December 15, 1909. The couple farmed in the Wellsburg vicinity, and in later years he worked on farms near Wellsburg and Buck Grove.

Mr. Kaiser spent several years with his sister at Buffalo Center before he moved to Holland nine years ago.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Eilert Walters of Wellsburg, and Verdena, Mrs. Carl Brower of Holland; six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Steen of Buffalo Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
