Mrs. Harm Flesner Obituary

Vera Kaiser, daughter of John and Dever Ackerman Kaiser, was born on March 30, 1909, in Pleasant Valley township, Grundy County. She received her education in the Grundy county school system and was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Wellsburg.

On February 11, 1930, she was united in marriage with Harm Flesner. They spent most of their married life on the farm west of Buck Grove and moved to Parkersburg on December 31, 1970. Mrs. Flesner departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 18, at Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo. Her age was 62 years, 1 month and 18 days.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold; her parents and a half-sister.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Harm; one son, Marvin of Parkersburg, four daughters, Shirley, Mrs. Lee Baruth of Waterloo; Delores at home; Carol, Mrs. Kent Warneke of Laurel, Maryland; and Linda at home. Also one grandson and two granddaughters. Also four brothers, John Kaiser of George, Iowa; Louis of Nora Springs; Henry of Basset, Iowa; and Herb of Luverne, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Taylor of Mason City, Iowa; Mrs. Viola Jones of Rockford, Iowa; and Mrs. Lloyd Anderson of Waverly, Iowa; two half-brothers, Dick Buss of Luverne, Minnesota; and Oltman Buss of Dougherty, Iowa, as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at Bethel Lutheran Church, Parkersburg, Iowa, at 1:30, with the Reverend ElRoy Buhr officiating. Prayer service was held in the Flesner home at 1 p.m. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran church near Wellsburg.
