Services For Ann M. Harms Held Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann M. Harms were held Friday, November 29, 1985, at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church northeast of Wellsburg. Rev. Richard Dowling was officiating pastor.

Eldon Harms sang a selection. A selection was sung by the congregation from the Lutheran Book of Worship. Mrs. Eldon Harms was organist and accompanist.

Flower attendants were Mrs. James DeNeui and Mrs. Lawrence Bausman.

Casket bearers were Gary Harms, Chris Koch, Don Siefken, John Aalfs, Don Geerdes and Harold Aukes. Burial was in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery.

Doyen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Harms passed away at 10:34 Monday evening, November 25, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Grundy Center following a lingering illness. She reached the age of 63 years, 10 months and 27 days.

She was born Angalyn Marie Neymeyer, on December 28, 1921, at Aplington, the daughter of Albertus and Anna (Betten) Neymeyer and received her education in the Aplington public school. On October 5, 1939, she was united in marriage to Harold H. Harms at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. Following their marriage they lived in Wellsburg. They lived in Cedar Falls for 5 years before moving back to Wellsburg in 1946. Her husband passed away on September 12, 1981.

Ann was a long-time member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Wellsburg.

For the past several years she was a Grundy County Homemaker until her health began to fail. She became a resident of Beverly Manor on September 28th of this year.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and brothers, Robert and Charles, both in infancy.

Survivors include 2 sons, U.S. Army Lt. Col. Robert Harms of Fayetteville, NC; Terry Harms, Cedar Rapids; 4 grandchildren; 5 brothers, John Neymeyer of Faribault, MN; Paul Neymeyer of Eldora; Milton Niemeyer of Marshalltown; Joe Neymeyer of Fairbank; Calvin Neymeyer of Eldora and many other relatives and friends.
