Services For Amos Kolthoff On Wednesday

Funeral services for Amos Kolthoff, 64, of rural Steamboat Rock, were held Wednesday, July 12, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Wellsburg, with burial in the church cemetery.

He died Sunday, July 9, of heart failure at his home.

Survivors include three brothers, August and Wallace both of Ackley, and Theodore of Eldora; and two sisters, Henrietta Fluth of Ackley and Catherine Richardson of Eldora. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Elmer Kolthoff.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and then farmed in the Steamboat Rock area for many years.

The Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home of Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.
