Rites Held For Alfred "Bud" Krull

Alfred E. "Bud" Krull, 81, of Wellsburg, died Sunday, June 22, at the Eldora Regional Medical Center of cancer.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Wellsburg, with Rev. Al Schulz officiating. Burial was in the Church Cemetery, with military rites performed by the AMVET Post 91 of Wellsburg.

A memorial fund has been established.

Alfred was born June 8, 1916, the son of John and Minnie (Abbas) Krull. He was educated in the Wellsburg Schools. Bud was in the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942 until 1945.

Alfred was united in marriage on November 1, 1945, in Wellsburg to Helena Koch. He worked for several farmers, the City of Wellsburg, Mid Equipment and Snittjer Grain Co. Bud retired in 1979.

He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Wellsburg and was a lifetime member of the AMVET 91 of Wellsburg.

He is survived by a son Allen Krull and wife Carol of Wellsburg; 2 daughters, Donna Krull of Wellsburg and Gracie Brockway and husband David of Reynolds, Nebraska; a step-son, Larry Koch of Grundy Center; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 brother, George of Grundy Center; 2 sisters, Jane Holcomb of Eldora and Gracye Trailer of Rosemand, California.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helena on September 4, 1985; 4 brothers, Henry, John, Aeilt (Dagon) and one in infancy; and 1 sister, Irene Dunn.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
