Mrs. Aaron Eckhoff Succumbs Sunday In Eldora Hospital

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday in the First Christian Reformed Church for Mrs. Aaron Eckhoff, 84, of Steamboat Rock, who died Sunday afternoon in the Eldora hospital. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Eckhoff had been in poor health for some time. Two weeks ago she suffered a heart attack and was taken to the hospital where she died Sunday.

Helen Flessner was born in Germany in 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Flessner. She came to the United States with her parents when she was a girl of seven.

After her marriage to Aaron Eckhoff, the couple made their home near Steamboat Rock where she had lived the past 60 years.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Henry of Steamboat Rock, Tom of Oskaloosa, Ernest of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Carl Krause of Des Moines and Mrs. D. H. Walters of Waterloo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death.
