Last Rites Held for Simon Siefken, 77

Simon D. Siefken, 77, of Reinbeck died Tuesday afternoon at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo after a lingering illness.

Services were held Friday at the United Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck. The Rev. Clell Hickman officiated. Burial was in the Colfax Center Cemetery northwest of Holland. French Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Hilda) Aswegan of Union, Mrs. Lawrence (Mavis) Mathers of Homestead, Fla., and Mrs. James (Marie) Smith of Gladbrook; three sons, H. J. Cedar Rapids, Marlin of Reinbeck and Donald of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Albert of Marshalltown, one sister, Mrs. Everett (Helen) Temple of Grundy Center, 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
