Funeral Friday For Margaret Abels

Funeral services for Miss Margaret Abels, 75, of Grundy Center, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home with burial in the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Rev. Jerry Van Curler will officiate.

Miss Abels died Tuesday morning at the Presbyterian Nursing Home at Ackley, where she had been a resident for three weeks.

She was born January 5, 1897, in Colfax township, Grundy county, the daughter of Barney and Annie Kruse Abels.

Miss Abels lived on the home farm until she moved to Grundy Center in 1948.

She is survived by three brothers, Conrad and Henry of Grundy Center, and John of rural Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Franken of Holland and Mrs. Oscar (Esther) Thielbert of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
