Funeral services were held at the Bethany Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon, Aug. 8, for Miss Anna Kramer who apparently died last Wednesday at her home in Grundy Center. Rev. E. H. Buschman and Rev. J. L. Lewis officiated at the service. Burial was in the Colfax Center cemetery.

Mrs. Raymond Appel provided organ music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Roger Stachour. Casketbearers were Larry Newton, Don Lage, Steven Ramaker, Arden Jorgensen, Martin Sharp and Jack Bienfang. Mrs. Lester Harken and Mrs. John Niehaus Jr. were flower attendants.

Anna Kramer was born July 13, 1895 in Colfax township, Grundy county, the daughter of Joe and Anna Abels Kramer. The family moved to Grundy Center 57 years ago. She had been employed in the Henry Kruger variety store and the Beach Music Store before she became employed in the Grundy Center Telephone Exchange. She remained as an employee of the Telephone Company for 45 years. Miss Kramer was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Newton of Grundy Center and Mrs. Helen Ramaker of Storm Lake; also five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Harm Muhring.

Time of her death has not been determined. When her sister could not reach her by phone Wednesday morning, a neighbor, Martin Sharp, and her nephew, Larry Newton, went to the house early in the afternoon. They found her dead in bed.
