Harold Lindeman Died Monday

Harold Lindeman, 43, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 1976 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minn. He had been ill with aplastic anemia the past three years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17 in the Colfax Center Presbyterian church at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jerry Van Curler and Rev. Wiert Eekhoff will officiate. Burial will be in the Colfax church cemetery, rural Holland.

Harold LaVerne Lindeman was born May 13, 1933 in Butler County north of Aplington, Iowa, the son of Dick and Annie Tjebkes Lindeman. He graduated from the Parkersburg high school. On August 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to Dixie Dieken at the Colfax Center Presbyterian church. Following their marriage they lived at Allison 12 years where he was employed by the Allison Thermogas Company. From there they moved to Marion where he was employed 2 1/2 years with the Orken Exterminating Co. until he became ill. Since then the family had lived at rural Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife Dixie, one daughter, Leah, age 14, one son Dean, 12, his father, Dick Lindeman of Allison, two sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Doreen) Thorne of Parkersburg and Arlyce Lindeman of Allison and a brother Dennis of Allison. He was preceded in death by his mother in March 1976.

The Engelkes Funeral Home at Parkersburg was in charge of arrangements.
