Services Held For LuDean Neessen Adler

Services for LuDean Janis Neessen Adler, 53, of New York City, formerly of Waterloo, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo with burial at Colfax Center Presbyterian Cemetery near Holland.

Mrs. Adler died of cancer Thursday (Sept. 10) at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan, N.Y.

She was born Aug. 10, 1934, in Holland, daughter of James and Lydia Harberts Neessen. She and Alvin Adler were married Feb. 19, 1977, in New York City. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1957 from the University of Iowa and her Master's degree from Smith College, North Hampton, Mass., and was working on her Doctorate at Columbia University, N.Y. She was a private psychotherapist with the Jewish Board of Guardians Clinic, New York City.

Survivors include her husband, her parents of 704 Easton Ave., a sister, Lois Nanke of Waterloo; and a brother, James Neessen of Bowling Green, KY.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Save the Children Foundation.
