Gertrude Dieken, 92, of Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, of congestive heart failure. A private burial was held.

Born in Grundy County, Miss Dieken moved to the Philadelphia, PA region in 1942 to join the public relations department at DuPont. She continued her association in the publishing field her entire life. She was inducted into the Iowa Women's Hall of Fame in 1995.

She is survived by a sister, Janet Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.
