Floyd LuVern Harberts, 75, of Grundy Center, died November 1 at his residence. Funeral services were November 5 at Colfax Center Presbyterian Church, Holland. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the church.

Floyd was born September 26, 1928, in Holland, the son of Fred D. and Lena (Casjens) Harberts. Floyd attended Lincoln #3 and Palermo #3 country schools. Floyd worked at the Spokesman Press and at Phelps Implement in Grundy Center. He retired in 1993. Floyd was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his three brothers; Dick and wife Enola Harberts of Waterloo, Russell and wife Merelyn Harberts of Hudson and Alfred Harberts of Pharr, TX; two sisters, Ruth Asher of Grundy Center and Carolyn Harberts of Grundy Center; and a sister-in-law, Janet Harberts of Grundy Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Harberts, three sisters, Cora Slifer, Isabelle Eiklenborg and Delia Rust.
