Alvin Grant Lutterman, 90, of Holland, passed away on April 19 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were April 22 at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Alvin was born on June 24, 1912, in Wellsburg, the son of Albert J. and Florence (Riekena) Lutterman. He helped his parents farm, and also worked for several farmers including his brother, Laurence. He was united in marriage to Alma Stahl on December 1, 1939, at the Colfax Center Parsonage. The couple farmed in Colfax township until semi-retiring in 1979, when they moved to a home east of Holland. Alvin continued to help on the farm as long as he could. He was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in rural Holland for 52 years, where he served several terms as a Trustee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Laurence Lutterman.

Survivors include his wife, Alma of Holland, a daughter, Ardyne and her husband Bob Waters of Grundy Center; a son, Alan and his wife Susan Lutterman of Holland, six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Irma Lutterman of Ackley; and a brother-in-law, Alvin and his wife Grace Stahl of Grundy Center.
