Mrs. Gust Fritzel Funeral on Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Gust Fritzel, 62, were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the home and later in the Second Christian Reformed Church.

Mrs. Fritzel died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday at her home in Wellsburg following a lengthy illness. She had submitted to surgery on February 4 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, and returned home February 14.

She was 62 years, 2 months and 26 days of age at the time of her death.

Obituary
Elizabeth Knock was born January 18, 1897, on a farm in Colfax township near Holland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knock.

She was united in marriage to Gust Fritzel on August 31, 1916, in the Reformed Church parsonage by Rev. Wm. Landsiedel. Following their marriage the couple farmed northeast of Wellsburg until 1937, when they moved to their present home in Wellsburg.

Mrs. Fritzel joined the Reformed Church, and later her membership was transferred to the Second Christian Reformed Church.

Surviving are the husband; two children, Mrs. Harold (Esther) Geerdes and Elmer Fritzel; two grandchildren, Kay Geerdes and Mary Elizabeth Fritzel; her aged father, Wm. Knock; and one sister, Mrs. C. C. Neessen.

Preceding her in death were her mother, a sister Helen and two brothers, Eilert and Jake.
