Anna Lindaman, Age 96, Dies

Funeral services for Anna Lindaman of Wellsburg, who died Tuesday evening, December 11, 1979, at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Aplington, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 14th in the Wellsburg Reformed Church with Rev. Roger Huitink and Rev. Gideon Wolbrink officiating. Mrs. Dale Heetland was the vocalist with Miss Marcella Neessen at the organ. Casketbearers were Benton Peters, Steward Peters, Robert Lindaman, Alle Jaspers, Thomas White and Roland Siefken. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lindaman died at the age of 96 years, 2 months and 26 days. She had been a resident of the Maple Manor home since 1971.

She was born the daughter of Henry and Dena Behrends DeVries on August 15, 1883, in Pleasant Valley township, Grundy county. On December 22, 1905, she was united in marriage with Ben H. Lindaman and they made their home in Wellsburg. Two children, a daughter Lillian, and a son Harley, were born to this union.

Mrs. Lindaman was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. William W. (Lillian) Peters of Aplington, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harley (Alyce) Lindaman of Wellsburg, seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, both in the year 1959, her parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

The Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Chapel in Aplington was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
