Family Mourns The Passing Of C.J. Nederhoff
Funeral service for Coert J. Nederhoff were held on Monday, September 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Pastor Roger Huitink officiated at the services.
Pastor and Mrs. Roger Huitink sang two selections accompanied by Marcella Neessen, organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Marvin Nederhoff and Mrs. Terry Deters.
Casketbearers were Lonnie M. Phillips, Lennie Phillips, Martin Phillips, Kelly Kramer, Lee Harms and Harley Off. The interment service was held in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery.
Doyen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nederhoff passed away Friday morning, August 30, at his farm home southwest of Wellsburg due to an apparent heart attack. He reached the age of 77 years and 4 months.
He was born on a farm southwest of Wellsburg, on April 30, 1908, the son of Johnannes and Cuna (Bunger) Nederhoff and received his education in Shiloh No. 8 country school in the area. He had always made his home on the Nederhoff home place farm.
Coert was a long-time member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church having made confession of faith on September 27, 1953.
Survivors include: his 3 sisters and 1 brother, Mrs. Tillie Harms of Wellsburg; Diana Nederhoff of Wellsburg; Reka Nederhoff of Wellsburg; Carl L. Nederhoff of Wellsburg; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, and two brothers, Oldig J. and Gratus J. Nederhoff.
