Rites Held For Mrs. Margaret Lindaman, 91

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Lindaman were held on Tuesday, June 10, at 11 a.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Officiating at the service was Pastor Roger Huitink.

Two selections were sung by Pastor and Mrs. Roger Huitink. Mrs. Harvin Meyer was organist and accompanist.

Casket bearers were Donald Arends, Arnold Arends, LeRoy Beving, Paul Lindaman, Frederic Beving and Harvey Behrends. The interment service was held in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery.

The funeral arrangements were made by Doyen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Margaret Lindaman passed away early Sunday morning, June 8, at the Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Grundy Center due to an apparent heart attack. She reached the age of 91 years, seven months and 28 days.

She was born on October 10, 1894, on a farm in German Township, northwest of Wellsburg, the daughter of Jan and Margaetha (Sents) Beving and received her education in the rural school in the area. Later she attended the State Normal School in Cedar Falls and then taught in various schools in Shiloh and German Townships.

On February 19, 1920, she was married to John W. Lindaman at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church Parsonage by the Rev. F. Engelke. They began farming east of Wellsburg and later lived on various other farms in the area.

Mr. Lindaman passed away on June 2, 1953.

In 1953 she moved to Wellsburg to make her home. In May of 1980 she became a resident of the Beverly Manor Convalescent Center in Grundy Center.

Mrs. Lindaman was a long-time member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church having joined by Transfer of membership on March 22, 1949. She also was a long-time member of the Guild of the church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include: a son, Wendell of Wellsburg; a daughter, (Miriam), Mrs. Glenn Robertson of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Behrends of Slayton, MN and many other relatives and friends.
