Rites For Tillie Nederhoff Held Here On Friday

Funeral services for Tillie C. Nederhoff were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 10, at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Pastor Roger Huitink officiated at the services.

Mrs. Luella Lindaman and Mrs. Elmer Ruter sang two selections. Miss Marcella Neessen was organist and accompanist.

Mrs. Leonard Gelder and Mrs. Edward Nederhoff were flower attendants.

Casket bearers were Norman Nederhoff, Rodney Raber, Carl Janssen, Duane Babcock, Craig Babcock and Terry Babcock. The interment service was held in the Wellsburg Reformed Church cemetery.

James Kuper and Andy Kuper were honorary casket bearers.

The Doyen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Tillie C. Nederhoff passed away on Tuesday, October 7, at her home in Wellsburg due to an apparent heart attack. She reached the age of 82 years, 10 months and 7 days.

She was born on November 30, 1903, on a farm southwest of Wellsburg, the daughter of Carl O. and Ettje (Bunger) Nederhoff. She received her early education in the Wellsburg Public School. Following the death of her father in 1944 she and her mother moved to Wellsburg to make their home. Her mother passed away in May of 1957.

Tillie was a long-time member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church, having made profession of faith on June 5, 1962.

Preceding her in death were her parents, 2 sisters, (Gertie), Mrs. Henry Dirksen and (Susie), Mrs. George Paterni.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Grace Janssen of Wellsburg; a brother, Coert C. Nederhoff of Wellsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
