Rites Held For Tina Molendorp

Mrs. Tina Molendorp, of Wellsburg, passed away at 12:40 a.m. January 1, at the Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo. She attained the age of 79 years and 22 days.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 4, 1:30 p.m., at the Wellsburg Reformed Church, with Pastor Roger D. Huitink officiating.

Pastor and Mrs. Roger Huitink sang "Day By Day," and "How Great Thou Art." The accompanist was Mrs. Harvin Meyer, who also played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude.

Casket bearers were Alvin Lindaman, John R. Hoodjer, Edwin Stahl, Marlyn Mennenga, John Jerry Abbas, and Jay Mennenga.

Ushers were Dale Murray and John Olthoff. Mrs. Marlyn Mennenga and Mrs. Rodney Fuller were in charge of the floral arrangements.

Interment was in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery.

Tina C. Molendorp was born December 9, 1909, on the family farm in Shiloh township, Grundy County. She was the daughter of John and Tillie DeBuhr Lutterman. Tina grew up on the family farm south of Wellsburg and attended country school and then attended high school in Wellsburg.

On June 28, 1930, she was united in marriage to Conrad Molendorp, by Rev. C. Heinrich at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Wellsburg. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm northeast of Wellsburg for a short time and then moved to the Molendorp home place farm northwest of Wellsburg. In 1957, they moved to the farm north of Wellsburg.

Her husband, Conrad, passed away in October of 1982.

For the past couple of years, Tina suffered with failing health, and she was hospitalized several times.

She was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Conrad; two brothers, George and Jerry Lutterman, and by one infant brother, Jerry Lutterman.

Tina is survived by one daughter, Belva Nederhoff, rural Cedar Falls; one sister, Mrs. LaVerne Tack, Wellsburg; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
