Grace Janssen Services Held

Grace Janssen, 90, of Wellsburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 29 at Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church with Rev. Verlyn Boone officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Grace was born on February 11, 1902 in Shiloh township the daughter of Carl O. and Ettje Bunger Nederhoff. She attended the town school in Wellsburg. On January 24, 1923, she was united in marriage to Gerald D. Janssen by Rev. H. C. Bode. She was a member of the Ladies Aide committee at the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert Janssen of Morrison, CO; a daughter, Anna Kuper of Ft. Collins, CO; a brother, C. C. Nederhoff of Wellsburg, 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald on July 15, 1972; a son Carl in February of 1992; her parents; 2 sisters, Susie Paterni and Tilly Nederhoff; a half-sister, Gertie Dirksen; 1 grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
