Lena Terfehn, 92, of Wellsburg passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at the Maple Manor in Aplington of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Lena was born March 9, 1907, on the family farm near Wellsburg the daughter of Peter H. and Hattie Reuter Eckhoff. On Dec. 2, 1936, she was united in marriage to Aeilt Terfehn at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Parsonage.

Lena is survived by three sons, Arden and his wife Janice of Austinville, Kenneth and his wife Ann of Cedar Rapids and Paul and his wife Sue of Ames; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Harry Eckhoff; and one sister, Grace Geerdes.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
