Ronald J. Jungling, 58, of Wellsburg, died May 26 at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at Wellsburg Reformed Church, Wellsburg. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wellsburg Reformed Church with family to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
Ron was born July 15, 1944, in Aplington, the son of George and Grace (Boelman) Jungling. Ron was raised in Aplington and graduated from Aplington High School in 1962. On August 7, 1964, Ron was united in marriage to Sharon Muller at Bethel Reformed church, rural Aplington. In 1964, Ron and Sharon moved to Wellsburg. Ron became the owner and operator of Jungling Service. He ran his business in Wellsburg for 35 years. Ron was a member of Wellsburg Reformed Church and had previously served on the Consistory. He was also a retired member of the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department, serving the community for 19 years. Ron also had been a past school board member for the Wellsburg School District. Ron had been a current member of the Wellsburg Community Betterment Group. He enjoyed fishing. Ron's grandchildren were his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Wellsburg; three sons, Brad Jungling and his wife Jan of Pella, Jay Jungling and his wife Lori of Altoona and Travis Jungling of Des Moines; four grandchildren; his mother, Grace Jungling of Aplington; one sister, Ruth Buseman and her husband Harold of Aplington; and two brothers, Bill Jungling and his wife Pat of Dumont and Larry Jungling and his wife Janice of Dumont.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Jungling.
