Jeanette deNeui Services Held

Jeanette deNeui, 85, of Wellsburg, passed away Monday, February 16, at Ackley Presbyterian Village of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 20, at 1:30 p.m. at East Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley. Rev. Bruce Baillie officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Mrs. deNeui attended the former Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, and taught country school in Colfax.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Ackley; 2 daughters, Karen Ames of Storm Lake and Janice Bye of Dubuque; 13 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble in 1994; a son, Daryl; twin granddaughters; and 3 brothers, Jake, Henry and Edwin Peters.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home, Wellsburg, was in charge of the arrangements.
