Noble deNeui Services Held

Noble deNeui, 84, of Wellsburg, died Friday, October 14, at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 17, at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in rural Ackley. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Noble was born on November 7, 1909, the son of Dick and Minna Lutjens deNeui in Shiloh Township, Grundy county. On April 22, 1936, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Peters at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shiloh Township.

Noble served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and there after farmed in Shiloh Township until retirement in 1970. He was a member of East Friesland Presbyterian Church and served in many different offices.

Noble is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Wellsburg; 1 son, Robert and his wife Joell of Ackley; 2 daughters, Karen deNeui Ames and her husband Arthur of Storm Lake and Janice deNeui Bye of Dubuque; 2 sisters, Hannah Anderson of Grundy Center and Lucille Christians of Alden; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daryl; 2 infant twin granddaughters; 4 brothers, Sander, Henry, Dickie, and Lee; 2 sisters, Rena Eberline and Flora Buskohl; and 1 son-in-law, Raymond C. Bye.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
