Marlys Aikes Services Held

Marlys Aikes, 65, of Ackley, passed away Sunday, September 20, at the Presbyterian Village.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church, Ackley. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Bruce Baille officiated.

Marlys was born May 4, 1933 the daughter of Ralph and Fannie Jaspers Aikes. She graduated from Steamboat Rock High School in 1953.

She was a member of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church and the East Friesland Missionary Guild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include an aunt, Esther Jaspers of Ackley and 14 cousins.

Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home, Ackley, was in charge of the arrangements.
