Roger G. Anderson 25, Died Thursday At M'town Hosp.
Roger G. Anderson, 25, died at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Hospital in Marshalltown due to a heart condition. He entered the hospital for treatment on Friday, September 29.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church, with Rev. Gideon Wolbrink officating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Special music for the service was provided by a men's quartet composed of Irwin Abels, Edward E. Harms, Duane Murra and Eugene Ruter. Miss Marcella Neessen was organist.
Casket bearers were John Ray Klosterboer, Hilko Schafer, Edwin T. Ascher, James A. Ascher, Curtis L. Meester and Leland Lauterbach.
Mrs. John Frerichs and Mrs. Irwin Abels were flower attendants.
He was born Oct. 6, 1942, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson (nee Fannie Kruse). He attended the Wellsburg Community School and graduated from the Wellsburg High School in 1961.
Roger was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church, having made confession of his faith in Jesus Christ on April 10, 1966.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
Those who survive are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson of Wellsburg, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie Anderson of Wellsburg.
