Richard W. Anders Dies of Pneumonia Rites Wednesday

Richard W. Anders, 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Anders, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday of pneumonia at the Woodward hospital.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the John Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 in the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Rev. George C. Poppen officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Richard W. Anders was born July 30, 1950, at Eldora and died Sunday, having reached the age of 8 years, 6 months and 8 days.

Survivors include his parents; one brother, Charles; a sister, Connie. Also his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Martha Anders of Hubbard; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schmidt, Wellsburg.

Two great-grandmothers also survive, Mrs. C. J. Schmidt and Mrs. Sarah Maas, Wellsburg.

Music at the funeral was provided by Mrs. George Poppen, soloist, who was accompanied by Miss Marcella Neessen on the organ. Pallbearers were Clarence Freese, Harley Freese, John H. Meyer and Clarence Nichols. Mrs. Clarence Freese and Mrs. John H. Meyer were in charge of flowers.
