Florence Lindaman Died At Home
Mrs. Henry (Florence) Lindaman, 80, died at her home in Wellsburg early Sunday morning, November 23, 1975 due to an apparent heart attack.
Services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John H. Elenbaas officiating. Mrs. LuRay Meyer was accompanist for the men's quartet, Richard Schafer, Melvin Haupt, Lary Riebkes and Arnold Eiten. Mrs. John Bakker was organist. Casketbearers were C. J. Doolaard, Albert Eertmoed, Elmer Heetland, Delbert J. Lindaman, Paul L. Klingenborg and Warren Lindaman. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Grace Heronimus and Mrs. Sadie Behrends were floral attendants.
She was born on a farm in Shiloh township west of Wellsburg on June 19, 1895, the daughter of Jan A. and Antje (Ross) Eertmoed. She attended the rural school in the area. On March 20, 1924 she was united in marriage to Henry J. Lindaman at the parsonage of the First Christian Reformed Church by the Rev. H. C. Bode. Following their marriage they made their home on the Eertmoed home place farm where she was born. In 1949, they retired from the farm and moved to Wellsburg to make their home. Mr. Lindaman passed away on January 25, 1952.
Mrs. Lindaman was a faithful and long time member of the First Christian Reformed Church. She also was a long time member of the Ladies Guild of the church.
Those who preceded her in death were her parents, her husband, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Akkerman of Wellsburg and Mrs. Cornelia Lindaman of Wellsburg; 3 brothers-in-law, John J. Lindaman of Ackley, Jake J. Lindaman of Ackley, and Peter Klingenborg of Aplington; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were made by the Doyen Funeral Home.
