Paul Franzenburg, 87

DES MOINES - Paul Franzenburg, 87, of Des Moines, formerly of Conrad, died Oct. 31, 2004, at the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center in Des Moines of natural causes.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Central Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, with Rev. Dr. James Wallace and Rev. Janette Scott officiating. Further services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Conrad United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church in Conrad. Burial will be in the Conrad Cemetery, with military rites by the Conrad American Legion Post #681. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Paul is survived by his wife Nancy Franzenburg of Des Moines; two sons, Ross (Nelda) McGee of Reno, Nev. and Stephen (Marie) Franzenburg of Clive; a daughter Christine McMorris of Iowa City; three stepsons, Dr. R. Todd Michael of Boulder, Colo., Jon Michael of Sedona, Ariz. and Matt (Lois Smidt) Michael of Ames; four sisters, Jean Belz of Walker, Wilhelmine (Jack) Katzenmeyer of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., Ruth (Russell) Koepke of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. and Collyn (Rudolph) Schmidt of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
