Anna M. Pixler, 84

Anna M. Pixler, 84, of Eldora, died Monday, Dec. 9, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center, of natural causes.

She was born July 6, 1918,in Grundy County, daughter of Ubbe and Augusta Anderson Peters. She married Harry Pixler on July 6, 1940, in Nashua. He died in 1997.

Mrs. Pixler graduated from high school in Wellsburg in 1937. She cleaned homes for many families in the Eldora community.

Survivors include: two sons, Virgil (Ann) of Waterloo and Gordon (Mary) of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Harriet (Bob) Petersen of Stillwater, Minn.; and 10 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Ruby Peters and Viola Uhlken.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery, both in Wellsburg. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
