Mrs. Cliff. Green Died At Rochester

Mrs. Clifford Green, 63, of Grundy Center, died at the Methodist hospital in Rochester, Minn., Monday, Dec. 31 from cancer. Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John L. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Colfax Center cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.

LuElla Harberts was born Aug. 30, 1910, in Colfax township, Grundy County, Iowa, the daughter of Dick and Gertie (Kruse) Harberts. She attended the Grundy Center high school and graduated from Grundy Junior college in 1930. She was employed in various places of business for approximately 45 years. Her last employment was with the Grundy Mutual Insurance Association where she was assistant secretary for 18 years. She retired in July of 1973.

LuElla Harberts and Clifford Green were married at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church Sept. 6, 1961. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Grundy Center, and PEO.

Survivors are her widower, Clifford Green; two step-sons, Leslie Green of Conrad and James of Chicago; one brother, Edwin Harberts of Holland; one sister, Mrs. James (Lydia) Neessen of Waterloo; four step-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

The Ferree-Oltmann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
