John A. Conradi Rites Pending

John Arthur Conradi, 91, passed away Monday, January 14, in the Long Term Care Unit of Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held Thursday, January 17, at 1:30, at the Holland Christian Reformed Church in Holland, with Pastor Douglas H. Bratt, and Rev. Glenn R. Dieken officiating. Friends may call at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home Wednesday evening, January 16, from 3-9 p.m., and on Thursday, January 17, from 9-11 a.m., and at the church one hour prior to services.

Casket bearers will be Virgil Getting, Delbert Meyer, Harry Banks, Alvin Lutterman, Herman Bakker, and Eldon Dieken.

Burial will be in the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery in rural Holland.

John, the son of Henry and Kate Lingelbach Conradi, was born May 1, 1899, in Grundy County. He grew up and attended school in Grundy County.

He was united in marriage to Anna Meyer, on December 8, 1920, at Colfax Presbyterian Church in rural Holland. John and Anna farmed in Grundy County until they retired in 1966.

John was a member of the Holland Christian Reformed Church, and the Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Phyliss; one sister, Lucille DeBower, and two brothers, William H., and Neal.

He is survived by his wife Anna, of Holland; three sons, Roland, and Leland, both of Holland, and Darius of Waverly; one daughter, Colleen Graham of Arnold, MO; one sister Mrs. Ella DeBower, of Waverly; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center is in charge of professional arrangements.
