Vivian E. Weatherly, 78, Laurel, died Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Grundy Care Center, Grundy Center. Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Alice Church of God, rural Eldora. Burial will be in the Alice Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the French-Hand Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

She was born April 10, 1918, in Morrison to Alfred "Jack" and Daisy McIntyre. She attended school in Morrison.

She married LeRoy Weatherly Dec. 14, 1936, in Marshalltown. He died in 1945.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon Weatherly, Marshalltown, and Robert Weatherly, Grundy Center; a daughter, Jennie Schroyer, Laurel; four sisters, Faye Lowe, Reinbeck, Neva Hall, Olympia, Wash., Eva Mae Beckwith, Dike, and Phyllis Corwin, Reinbeck; three brothers, LeVerne McIntyre, Morrison, Donald McIntyre and Dale McIntyre, both of Reinbeck; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Omar, Roger and Robert; and a sister, Mary Jane, and three grandchildren.
