Kathryn Kline Died Tuesday

Mrs. Laurence A. (Kathryn) Kline, 71, was called to her Eternal Rest Tuesday after a brave battle with a heart problem for the past few years. She had been at Rochester and then was transferred to Mach East where she passed away. She was relieved from great pain in her passing.

Kathryn was born March 28, 1905, daughter of the late Owen and Margaret Herlocker White at Conrad. She was reared here and married Mr. Kline Sept. 28, 1922 at Grundy Center. They farmed in the area all of their married life until they retired 8 years ago. The past year they lived in the Conrad Apartments.

Kathryn was a member of the Alice Church of God and the WCSC. She was a staunch believer in her Lord, and her aim in life was to help others find Him, and to serve Him. This she did very capably. She was a fine wife and mother, and a friend to all who needed befriending.

Survivors include: the widower; 2 daughters: Mrs. Dale (Connie) Miner of Marshalltown, Mrs. Charles (Helene) Mooty of Grundy Center; and a son: Dr. John Kline of Montgomery, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mrs. Carl (Mable) Erickson of Palo Alto, Calif., and Mrs. Gerhard (Nellie) Bengtson of Mt. Vernon, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters.

A beautiful tribute was paid to her Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Alice Church of God by Rev. H. L. Heim, pastor. Interment was in the Alice cemetery.

Mrs. Henry Hertema and Mrs. Lyle Heltibridle sang "Amazing Grace" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Organist Mrs. Dale Callaway. Casket bearers were Charles Mooty III, Dennis Stahl, James Traeger, Floyd Benda, Owen Rattray, Tom Lehman, Marc Boyd and David Kline. Flower bearers were Mrs. Owen Rattray, Mrs. Dennis Stahl and Miss Teri Kline. The Johnston Funeral Home was in charge.

Thus ends the life of another who was faithful unto death; who believed that there was a beautiful Eternity awaiting those who put their trust in Him. "Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
