Mrs. Heltibridle Dies At Duluth
Mrs. E. E. Heltibridle, wife of the late Rev. E. E. Heltibridle, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Addison Alspach, at Duluth, Minn. Death followed a leg fracture sustained in a fall several months ago. She was 83 years old.
The body was sent to the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center. Services were held at the Alice Church of God, of which her husband was pastor for thirteen years. The resident pastor officiated at the funeral service. Burial was by the side of the husband in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Rev. and Mrs. Heltibridle were married at Clarence, Iowa, in 1886. They had observed their 55th wedding anniversary before the death of Rev. Heltibridle Nov. 9th, 1941.
The Heltibridles came to Grundy county in 1902. The first 14 months they lived in Conrad. After that they purchased a farm about eight miles southwest of Grundy which remained their home until they moved to Grundy Center in 1915.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Heltibridle made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Addison Alspach, and family who resided at Iowa city at the time Mrs. Heltibridle came to them. Later she moved with this family to Duluth.
Surviving are two sons, Alva of Waterloo and Harry of Grundy Center, and the one daughter, Mrs. Alspach of Duluth. There are 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Those from a distance aside from relatives who were here at the funeral service were Messrs. Schlistene, Newell, Foster and Rev. Moon from Pleasant Grove church, Columbus Junction; Mr. and Mrs. John Bowman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowman, and Rev. and Mrs. Yeager from the Church of God at North Liberty.
