Rites Monday for Ralph Heltibridle

Funeral services for Ralph E. Heltibridle, 59, of 1721 Byron Ave., Waterloo, who died of a heart condition Saturday at Allen Memorial Hospital, were held Monday in the Chapel of Memories West. The Rev. Drexel V. Mollison, associate pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiated and burial was in the Alice cemetery southwest of Grundy Center.

He was born in Grundy county March 12, 1912, son of Alva and Ferne Sherbon Heltibridle and graduated from the Grundy Center high school. He married Evelyn J. Stark June 28, 1935, in Grundy Center.

He resided in Charles City prior to moving to Waterloo. He was employed by Canteen Service, Inc. for 31 years and was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Surviving in addition to his widow are one son, Richard of Garland, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Bever of Redding, Calif. and Mrs. Dallas D. Nowell of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two granddaughters; and his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Heltibridle of Iowa City.

Additional survivors include four sisters: Mrs. Chester Skinner of Bradenton, Fla., Mrs. Noel Bern of Reinbeck, Mrs. Helen Thompson and Mrs. Charles Haskell, both of Waterloo and one brother Glen, Alton, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one son and infant granddaughter.
