Thelma Clinite, 79, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Grundy Center, died Sunday, May 16, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Alice Cemetery in Conrad. The Rev. Bonifacio Maqui of Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

She was born March 2, 1914, in Grundy Center, the daughter of Orval and Lura Bockes Clinite. She was raised in Grundy Center and graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1931. She worked as a bookkeeper for Heine Implement until 1951 when she moved to Cedar Rapids. She worked for St. Lukes Hospital in the food service department until retiring.

Survivors include two sisters, Lola Hughes, Conrad, and Anabel Speicher, Union, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister.
