Dorothy E. Bockes, 80, of Hannibal, Missouri, formerly of Conrad, passed away Saturday, January 11, at her residence in Hannibal of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Alice Church of God, rural Conrad, with Rev. James Snare officiating. Burial was at Alice Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike White, John Bockes, Jeff Bockes and Nick Watts.

A memorial fund is being established.

Dorothy was born October 15, 1916, in Conrad, the daughter of "George Elmer" and Lettie B. Jones. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1934.

On February 7, 1937, she was united in marriage to Myrle S. Bockes at Galena, Illinois. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Myrle; 3 daughters, Joan Huston, Beverly White and Marilyn Watts, all of Hannibal, Missouri; 3 sons, Jerry Bockes and Donald Bockes, both of Wapello, and Jim Bockes of Jefferson City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Edna Jones of Conrad; and 1 brother, "Merrill Edwin" Jones of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.

Johnston Funeral Home, Conrad, was in charge of the arrangements.
