Services Held for Henry Graves of Dike Monday p.m.
Henry Graves, 73, of Dike, passed away Friday afternoon at 3:15 while trying to start his motor on the Cedar River at Cedar Falls. Mr. Graves loved fishing and spent much of his time on or near the water. He had suffered a heart condition for the past ten years, but never had a serious attack previously.
Funeral services were conducted at the home in Dike, followed by services in the Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church, on Monday. The Rev. Kenneth Slager was the officiating minister. Burial was in the Lincoln Center cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Gepka; five sons, Joe, Marvin, Laurence and Dennis, all of Dike, and Raymond of Iowa Falls; four daughters, Leona (Mrs. Edwin Gronewald) of Cedar Falls, Irene (Mrs. Lincoln Neuberger) of Ackley, Evelyn and Beverly at home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ora; three sisters, a brother, and a son, Harold.
