Gepka Nederhoff, 92, of Wellsburg, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Services were held Monday, Sept. 11 at the First Christian Church, rural Wellsburg, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Tom Vos officiated.

Gepka was born July 31, 1908, in rural Ackley, to Hemmo and Grietje Van Deest Deters. She attended the Flowing Well Country School in Grundy County. On Sept. 6, 1927, she married Peter Nederhoff at the First Christian Church, rural Wellsburg. Gepka was a longtime member of the First Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and working outside.

She is survived by a son, Arnold and wife, Darnell, of Wellsburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-grandson; two step-great-grandsons; and a sister-in-law, Nellie Deters of Eldora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter in 1979; four brothers, Adolph, Hemmo, Tommo, and William; and two sisters, Bertha Deters and Martha Kurtzleben.
