Anna Kruse, age 93, of Ackley, died on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley with burial in the West Friesland Cemetery, Ackley. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home on Saturday.

Anna Kruse was born on August 20, 1915 in Dexter, MN, the daughter of Henry and Katie (Gieken) Deters. She was raised in the Ackley area, attended rural schools and attended West Friesland Presbyterian Church since she was 12 years old. She was united in marriage to Albert Kruse on August 22, 1935 in Parker, SD. She raised many nieces and nephews and was a loving wife and mother.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Arlys Olson and her husband, Ron of Indianola; a granddaughter, Andrea Joki and her husband, Dean Yoder; a grandson, Jason Joki and his wife, Teresa; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Joki.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; an infant son, a son, Ronald; and her brothers and sisters.
