Diane Harms, 39, Laid To Rest Monday

Funeral services for Diane Faye Harms were held Monday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home in Wellsburg.

Rev. Gene V. Anderson officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Dallas Koch, Darrell Koch, Gary Meyeraan, Burdette Walters, Harlyn Riekena, and Harvin Meyer. The interment service was held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery.

Diane Faye Harms passed away Thursday evening, July 21, 1983, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls where she had been taken the previous day. She reached the age of 39 years, 3 months and 29 days.

She was born in Aplington, IA on March 22, 1944, the daughter of Dick and Florence (Berends) Harms. She received her education in the Allison school and also in the Special Education Schools. The family lived on various farms in the area and last lived on a farm south of Ackley before moving to Ackley.

Diane was confirmed in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church of Wellsburg on July 26, 1964.

Preceding her in death were her father, Dick Harms, who passed away on March 24, 1975; 2 brothers, Richard and David Harms; the maternal grandparents and the paternal grandparents.

Those left to mourn her passing are her mother, Mrs. Florence Harms of Ackley; one sister and five brothers, Dennis Harms of Richmond, TX; Mrs. Franklin (Doris) Taylor of Grand Prairie, TX; Robert Harms of Webster City; Kevin Harms of Ackley; Keith Harms of Ackley; Kent Harms of Ackley and many other relatives and friends.

The arrangements were in charge of Doyen Funeral Home.
