Ida Mae Clark Services Held

Ida Mae (Katzer) Clark was born January 2, 1906 at Conrad, the daughter of Frank and Lena (Klar) Katzer. She passed away September 29 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls having attained the age of 85 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Funeral services were held October 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alice Church of God in rural Conrad with Rev. David Crow officiating. Burial will be in the Alice Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Clark, Robert Clark, Dallas Larsen, Paul Dannen, Robert Clark, Jr., and James Dannen.

Ida grew up in the Conrad area and attended country schools. On November 23, 1935, she was united in marriage to Gilbert A. Clark in Marshalltown. Ida and Gilbert farmed in Marshall and Tama counties until 1948 when they moved and farmed south of Dike. They retired from farming in 1955.

Preceding Ida in death were her parents, husband, Gilbert in 1981; and one son, James, in infancy; and six brothers, Frank Jr., Ernest, George, Robert, Fred, and Charlie.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas and Roger Clark of Dike, and Robert of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Dallas (Donna) Larsen of Rogers, Arkansas, Mrs. Ronald (Julia) White of Olathe, Kansas, and Mrs. Paul (Debra) Dannen of Hampton; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Raymond Katzer of Grundy Center and Joseph Katzer of South Windsor, CT.
