Herbert Raum Services Held

Herbert Vern Raum, 81, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Reinbeck, passed away on Thursday, September 26, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 30 at 10 a.m. at Amity Presbyterian Church, rural Reinbeck, with burial in Reinbeck Cemetery.

Herbert farmed near Traer, Reinbeck and Hudson until 1967, then was employed by the Roosevelt Hotel in Cedar Rapids for a year and a half. He worked at the U.S. Post Office until 1977 when he retired from custodial work.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, was in charge of arrangements.
