Mildred Smith Services Held

Mildred Irene Smith, of Anaheim, California, passed away Wednesday, May 6.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 7. Burial was in the West Minister Memorial Cemetery.

Mildred was born on February 10, 1917, in Eldora, the daughter of L. H. and Margaret Boomgarden Luitjens. She attended school in Grundy Center and graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1936. She lived on the Apple Farm east of Grundy Center.

On December 10, 1943, she was united in marriage to Al L. Smith at Anaheim, California. She had lived in Anaheim for 50 years.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Ted and Pat Calvin of Canyon Lake, California, Roger and Cindy Stahlhut of Anaheim, California and Jim and Shary Morris of Ontario, California; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Klunder of Grundy Center.
