Doris Dugan Services Held
Doris L. Dugan, 80, of Reinbeck, formerly of Maynard, died Monday, May 18, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at the United Methodist Church, Reinbeck. Burial will follow in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Rev. Richard Boatman will be officiating.
Doris was born November 6, 1917, in Clermont. She was the daughter of Charles and Mable Johnson. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, George and Ruby Johnson. Doris attended the Oelwein Community Schools, graduating in 1937, and attended business school.
Doris was united in marriage on October 15, 1938, at Grace United Methodist Church, Oelwein, to Robert Ross Dugan of Maynard.
Doris was a homemaker and later worked as head seamstress at the Fayette County Home, retiring in 1975.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Edith Johnson and Vivian Salvanio; brothers, Bill Johnson, George Johnson, Jim Johnson and Chuck Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Robert R.; 4 daughters, Janet L. Roberts of Waterloo; Kay E. Sawyer of Marion, Edith A. Blakeslee and husband Ben of Reinbeck and Carolyn K. Klatt and husband Charlie of Reinbeck; a son, Richard R. and wife Linda of Independence; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Hand Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
